You are an Artist. Don’t forget.

Big warning day today! This one is important because you ARE to swing yourself out there like a peacock and make yourself known – but provocation is coming to tempt you to do it in an insecure way or where you feel you have to overcompensate. So when someone comes in and brings something that goes against what you believe, or that makes you feel like you are not good enough, DO NOT overextend to prove them wrong. Just take deep breaths and ride this speed bump because it IS to be something that takes you higher, not sends you to the side of the road with a flat tire.
 
Now there also is something where you are going to wonder if you really have it in you. This energy may feel like wind coming through and suddenly you DO have serious fears and concerns that maybe something can't be done. This IS 100% a test of energy that hits you for the purpose of seeing if you really are ready to start over and start creating a life where joy is a big part of what you are seeing. Today we run into stories or situations that are to get us seeing that we can go for something we feel inside that deals with putting our thing out there and seeing if anyone is interested. 
 
DO BE AWARE that I am hearing of Artists doing REALLY WELL at this time, where people are working to start this economy in a new way, and those with money support Artists doing what they love, who support their Communities, which supports us all, looking to the immediate environment to see where we really need to start. 
 
In Durango, Holiday Inn is putting in their 2nd hotel, which has disrupted the main street driving and the businesses around it. They have NOT offered compensation for crumbling others’ businesses and I have been asking -- for almost a year now. They are only building a 2nd hotel in a tourist town of 20,000 because they got the 50% tax cut (which put $2.2 trillion back into the hands of corporations) and have money to blow on ways to generate more money. 
 
They are looking for places to take business from the locals and people who have had hotels for generations. They are only coming in, wanting to suck up dollars, while not having any passion or interest in the culture or the environment. They also were the only outbreak site of coronavirus in our town, where the builders kept working when others stayed at home. And the real kicker is that 3 of the 4 people tested positive so far, from the site, were from Mississippi. So, like, Holiday Inn doesn’t even support the community to build the damn building and outsources, in order to find people who they can pay less – so again, THEY can keep more money for themselves. And the only way we would have proof of them outsourcing labor was them getting caught like this because I’m sure everyone assumed these were local workers in the area where this massive blockage of toxic building supplies now sits, like a big ugly brown piece of dog shit.  
 
This is the antithesis of the ways of the Artist. This is why businesses like this should never be supported. They are the problem. When we hire the Artist, which would be the small family owning a hotel down the road, that person supports their local family and spends money locally to buy what they need to run the business and their lives. They are in it because this is THEIR PASSION and they have dreams of taking care of others or whatever. 
 
To be a part of the solution, we all have to do our part. And, as Artists, we have to ask, who should I support with my money that others valued me for by purchasing what is my heart and soul to bring? Should I support someone that doesn’t support my community, thus takes the life potential out of the Artist? NO. And never again! Our choices create our Lives. Choose the way of the Artist. It’s the only way of the Heart. Don’t look to others to change; YOU be the change and then YOU will see and live the change you seek.
