Good morning sweet loves! SO. Do be aware that you are feeling things BIG TIME and the weight of how things hit you is going to feel remarkable -- as in making such an impact that you can’t move on from this and most likely will feel sort of fixated and completely driven to get to an understanding or a position that sets you free. You are on pursuit and will not give up on getting to the bottom of what is going on and what you need to do to make this better.
Now, I have to be honest in telling you that the pain many of you will feel will make you want to run because it’s just too much, but this energy wants you to stay with things and to give them a chance to change, evolve, or become whatever is necessary so that this rebuilds and becomes something that you feel empowered around. As in, you reach out to help another and feel empowered from how GOOD it feels to be kind and looking out for others who maybe have nobody looking out for them.
Here is an example of how you may feel about things: I saw this man walking along the highway that I live on, where there are only a few houses and then like 10 to 20 miles before other things show up. I passed him because I had to run back home to get something and then I passed him again after getting it, but he had put on a mile from when I saw him again and if was coming from Durango he already had 5 miles on him. So 6 miles. In the winter. And no one was picking him up.
And I’ll keep it real here. No one was picking him up because of what he looked like. I won’t put the words to describe what he looked like but what floored me afterwards is how much I felt in my body how unfair so many people have it. Just completely UNFAIR. As I passed him both times I saw his lowered head and the feeling of defeat -- like why not do drugs and drink and fuck it all away, like why not because it is so unfair? This was an older man and any older white man would have people slamming on their brakes, in the way 3 of us stopped instantly to help these 2 huskies (the equivalent of white privilege dogs, right?) that ran loose the other day. Another truck stopped behind me to see if we needed his help too. But here was this older brown skinned man and people just drove on by.
And if you aren’t crying you should be. This all is so sad. It’s so unfair. It’s so hurtful. Yet the support that comes is 50% tax cuts for the poor little corporations and the permanent huge tax cuts for the poor little rich people. Aww. They have it so rough.
But what is going to start happening in all of you, like a tidal wave, is FUCK THAT SHIT. Fuck this old world paradigm that needs to transform into what all of us are feeling in our hearts as the way that we need things to be. We are NOT settled and content with this cold and brittle fascination with more and more money, at the expense and exploitation of those who actually are the kindest souls on this planet.
THAT IS FLIPPING. And all of y’all are about to get mad at the injustice but also passionate about doing what you can to make a change for the better. Each small compliment can change someone’s outlook on life and possibly keep them from throwing themselves over the cliff. Each small amount of change you dig up, even if you were going to go use it on a Starbucks coffee, which shouldn’t be a company we support, in my opinion, from what I know about their practices, can make a difference. Support your LOCAL coffee shops, not the global ones.
If we want to change the world we HAVE to do it through supporting our locals. We have to look around and see who and what needs US to care. And we are going to see the changes we need to see when we do. It’s like saving up money and if you do put $20 away each week, you WILL have $1040 at the end of the year. 100% -- it will happen. And we too will see the changes we dream when each week we put something towards the better things we are working for.
So feel how things hit you, but feel how they move you to change for the better. They are THERE, perfectly timed, to get YOU doing something about this.
How can you show someone
